IN-SCHOOL SUSPENSION GUIDELINES AND REGULATIONS
- Students shall attend class fron 8:00 a.m.-3:04 p.m. without exception. Students are to meet at the high school office at 8:00 a.m., and the ISS teacher will escort them to the ISS building. At approximately 3:04 p.m., the ISS teacher will escort the students to the high school office where they will be released when the bell rings. Elementary students will ride a bus back to the Elementary School. The students will not be released directly from the ISS building.
- Upon arrival students must report directly to the high school office. Elementary school students will be bused to the high school from the elementary school each morning.
- No students will be excused for medical or dental appointments until 3:00 p.m.
- Students shall not smoke or have in their possession tobacco, cigarettes, snuff, matches, lighter, cigarette paper, or any other smoking substance or knives while on school property.
- No student shall possess, use, transmit, or be under the influence of any narcotic drug, hallucinogenic, amphetamine, barbiturate, marijuana, acoholic beverage, or any other intoxicant while on school grounds.
- When reasonable cause for a search exits and after due explanation to the class/individual, a search may be made for any suspected contraband items.
- Students shall not talk without permission, make any unnecessary noise, or write notes to each other. A student can speak to the teacher to ask a question after receiving permission. Students will also remain seated until permission is given to get up. Violations will add one day per offense to the assignment.
- Students must not sleep in class and must maintain an upright position in the classroom. Violations will add one day per offense to the assignment.
- Students may leave their books on their desks;however, the student is responsible for any items left in the school building.
