Short Bio
Yuffie is a thief/ninja from
the old-Japanese (think samurai style) looking town of Wutai. After losing
a war, Wutai became a tourist town, and nothing more, which Yuffie hates.
While her methods (stealing everyone in the worlds materia) may not be the
nicest, her intentions are pure, as she is trying to restore her home town to
it's former glory. She's an optional side character in the game, which
means she won't actually contribute much to the main story, though her
side-quest is pretty interesting, if you can get over the fury that most gamers
feel when it starts (which would be spoilers, buddies, but any gamer who has
done it knows what I'm talking about). Plus she cries at the big event at
the end of disc 1... awww....
In battle, she is severely underestimated by the gaming community. I
have personally found her to be extremely strong, on par with some of the other
strong characters in the game, such as Barret and Red XIII. She's a very
nice magic user (almost as good as Aeris) and her physical attacks also hit for
a good amount of damage. Also, her best weapon, the Conformer has a
special property that makes her morph attack hit for oodles of damage.
Overall, she definitely deserves a slot on your team, at least in my opinion.

Limit
Breaks
Level 1
Greased Lightning: Yuffie runs up to the opponent and slashes them
with her shuriken. It looks really cool, and does a nice bit of damage to
boot.
Clear Tranquil: Restores some of the parties HP. This is a
good help early on, but loses effectiveness as the game goes on.
Level 2
Landscaper: Yuffie makes her own little earthquake, bringing up the
land under her enemies and hurting them a lot. This break does a lot
better against a group of enemies than against a single one.
Bloodfest: Yuffie does some neat stuff and hits the enemies 10
times, and looks really hot in the mean time (well ok, that's just my
opinion...) this attack is good vs a single enemy or a group, doesn't matter. Level 3 Gauntlet:
Makes a giant blue wave - thingy explode in the middle of the enemies.
This does better against large groups of enemies.
Doom of the Living: Similar to the bloodfest attack, she runs around and
slices stuff. Plus you gotta admit, they both have really cool names. Level
4
All Creation: Brings down a giant beam of light into the enemies, hitting
for lots of damage. Unfortunately, like Red XIII's last limit, it only
hits once, which makes it weaker compared to people's like Barret's and Cloud's.
