Days seven and
eight
Chiang Mai was the capital of the kingdom of
Lanna (the kingdom of a million fields), which enjoyed a
golden age throughout the 15th century. Ancient temples
can be seen almost anywhere in the city, with the famous
Wat Prathattop on the top of Suthep Mountain (1080 m)
beeing probably the most beautiful.

Day nine
We shall leave the ordinary world behind. And
speaking of unique experiences, have you ever ridden in
a long-tail boat? These remarkable watercraft are
powered by automobile engines and steered with a long
shaft. (Hence the name long-tail.) They can go
like...well, pretty fast. We shall take a water tour of
Golden Triangle, in one of them.
