From ASL Club: Welcome!Vice President Gina Mulroy |
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN 2003Our first Fall semester meeting was on Friday, October 3, from 7:00pm until 9:00pm in F314 (next to ASL Studies Office). ASL Club Election was held: If you are a student at Harper College with interest in American Sign Language, please consider joining ASL Club. The events and activities provide both exposure to ASL and to Deaf Culture. For those who came out to a past ASL Club event, you should recall Edwin, a Senior Citizen who is a Deaf friend of the club...very active in helping with all events and assisting in many tasks to put on programs. In July, Edwin became extremely ill and has been in and out of the hospital. Things had been "touch and go," but it looks better now. If you can offer a prayer, card, or visit him in rehab, it would be appreciated. For additional information, contact Gina Mulroy [email protected]. |
