The Gathering

Conner: Duncan's teacher. He first died in 1536. They are clansmen "Same clan,. . different vintage." He was taught by Ramirez and his first wife was Heather. He was a legend Duncan knew of as he grew up, and later became one of the most influential men in Duncan's life.

They met in London in the 1830's, while Conner enjoyed the company of a 'healthy' red-head.

Slan Quince: An immortal who liked to keep his pretty face. He killed by destroying the lives of the immortal first. He tried to manipulate Duncan by threatening Tessa, and first faught Conner. Killed by Duncan in 1992.

Kiem Sun: Chinese herbalist who is exploring the Kwanlo root. He is approximately 600 years old.

The Innocent Man

Howard Crowley: A sheriff in Loveston, WA. He framed a Vietnam vet for Lucas Desiree's death. Killed by Duncan on September 21, 1992.

Lucas Desiree: He was a Lt. for the South in the Civil War when he first met Duncan. He dug Duncan out of a shallow grave after Duncan was hung and they became friends. He was trying to live a solitary life when he was killed by Howard Crowley in 1992.

Freefall

Devereux: A painter whose family was killed by Felicia while he was away (France 1833). Killed by Felicia in 1992.

Felicia Martins: A fem. fetal who tried to use Richie(before he is immortal), to weaken Duncan. Duncan wins their duel, but does not take her head at Richie's request.

Mountain Men

Caleb: He became a mountain fugitive after his wife died & he adopted her son. He traveled with the boy and an outlaw, living in the wild. He kidnapped Tessa, who was a bit more than he bargained for. Killed by Duncan in 1992.

Carl: A mountain man & tracker who teaches Duncan how to track. Killed by Caleb.
