Endgame

"Our bonds are all that hold us in this world. Don't break this one."

Conner MacLeod is the Highlander. Seen first in Highlander, the movie, then later in the first episode of the series the following is what we learned of him in Endgame.

"Born of the land, and like this land - immortal."

1555 Glencoe Scotland his mother is burned at the stake for claiming Conner as her own son. Conner breaks free from jail and is unable to save her. He kills the priest and Jacob Kell before returning to Heather.

1625 Glen Fruin Duncan awakes from death to feel an immortals presence. Over the bloody battlefield he see's a man's outline appear. "I am Conner MacLeod, and like you my friend, I have a hard time dying."

1631 Ravenna, Italy Conner is teaching Duncan some of the finer points of sword fighting.

1712 Kildare, Ireland. Duncan and Conner are traveling together when they meet Kate, who is being held up by robbers. Duncan steals the robbers gold, then he and Conner fight the robbers, letting Kate escape.

1715, Dublin, Ireland. Conner arrives at Duncan & Kate's wedding. He makes Duncan aware that Kate's hidden immortality presents him with an incredible conflict of conscience.

1992 Rachel, a woman Conner found and raised like a daughter, is killed in New York. Conner locks himself in sanctuary in order to deal with the pain of loss.

Ten years later, Conner, drifting in and out of his memories hears the screams and the quickenings of the men around him in the sanctuary. He is let free, and then found by Jacob Kell and Duncan.

Jacob Kell- First killed in Glencoe Scotland by Conner MacLeod in 1555. A man of twisted faith who gathers followers and throws out the rules of the game. He seeks revenge with Conner, as Conner killed his �father'. In his relatively short life he has 661 confirmed kills (as seen in the watcher database). He is killed by Duncan.

Kate - A seamstress who fell in love with Duncan in 1712. They were married in Dublin, Ireland in 1715. Her first death was at Duncan's hands, for which she has not forgiven him. In present times she has reinvented herself as Faith and is working with Kell, as she admires his capacity for hatred. She is a fashion designer on the side, and does not live by the sword. She returns to Duncan for one night, to see if she can feel anything, and later loses her life to Kell.

"Until the day we are reborn."

Jin Ke -Jin Ke is the most impressive of Kell's henchmen, and the only to question Kell. Jin Ke served under the Emperor Qin.

Emperor Qin, who's full Imperial name was Qin Shi Huangdi, is credited as the first Emperor of China since he fought fierce wars to unify China for the first time ever The Qin Dynasty was formed in 221 B.C. and lasted only 14 years, when the Emperor was killed in battle in 207 B.C. (This info provided by Ryodin).

Born just before the founding of the QIn Dynasty, Jin served as a soldier under the Emperor. His main job was overseeing the building of the Great Wall. But after witnessing first-hand the brutal treatment of the laborers, Jin became disenchanted of the Emperor and his regime. He fell in with a plot to assassinate the Emperor, but at the last minute the plot was discovered and the conspirators put to death -- including Jin. He becomes Immortal on that day.(this bit of info is from the Endgame website, which I can not enter, but Ryodin kindly procured for me.)

Jin Ke is killed by Kel.

Methos and Joe also appear in Endgame. Methos knows much about the sanctuary and Conner's disappearance (it is evident that Conner and Methos know of each other). Joe helps rescue Duncan from the Sanctuary.

There are also four other henchmen killed by Kell.We learn very little about them in the movie, but apparently the directors cut will flush them out, and I will include what we learn about them when it is released.
