Patchwork Items
Foaling Season Apron Top
Baby animals are so cute! This wonderful horse fabric has all kinds of great scenes on it, so I picked the cutest one. A bunch of different fabrics in this one: hand-batiked green vines, the horses (of course), rosebuds on a beige background, fall leaves, and a dark green flannel/fleece (kinda a cross between the 2) that was also used in the bodice. Made from all new pre-washed and shrunk fabrics. This shirt is fully lined in unbleached muslin. Now the important stuff:
Legnth: 22 1/4"
Tab to tab: 30"
Straps: 40 1/2
Price: SOLD

Patchwork Hoodie
This brown hoodie needed some livening-up so I added patches to it. It's great for spring or fall because it's a nice cool cotton and linen. Great when it's just a tad chilly out. It's never been worn, just tried on to see how everything laid. The jacket is made by Parallel and says sz 16 on the tag, but I found their stuff to run small in the biceps, so I'd probably say up to a sz 12. Four large snaps run down the front to hold it closed. There is also a drawstring around the waist which I knitted and finished off with 3 wooden beads on each side. There are 2 pockets, one at each breast. The sleeves fall between full and 3/4 on me. The patches are made from vintage and new fabrics, mostly 100% cotton. I added quilting/top stitching to each patch for a more hand-made decrative look (also to keep the big patches from moving). All edges were folded under before stitching so there would be no chance of fraying. Patches were hand-satin stitched down with multiple colored threads. It's all about the details, baby. I also added some quilted squares (just stitching) for more subtle detail. I hope that made sense, if not please email me. This item comes to you freshly laundered. I washed it to check the stitching and for shinkage and all came out well. I didn't wash the drawstring because of the wooden beads, but it's up to you. The 3 beads make re-threading a cinch. All measurements taken with hoodie laying flat.
Legnth (shoulder to hem): 25"
Sleeves: 20"
Around the Bottom: 46"

Summer Apple Apron Top
I love this apple material!! Too bad there's only a little bit left. It looks beautiful in this top, all summery! The three different cotton fabrics are a maroon and tan gingham, apple vines with a border, and an off-white cloud-like number. All fabrics were washed before I started and the final product was washed to test seems and such. This top is completely lined in nice soft white muslin. There are no raw edges or open seams. Nice long straps make it suitable for larger sized people depending on how much back you want to show. Sorry about the picture. It was kinda windy and the shirt has been folded for a little while. It really is nice and flat and it does hang straight and even. Now the important stuff:
Legnth: 22 1/2"
Tab to tab: 32"
Straps: 38"
Price: SOLD

Purple Tulip Apron Top
It's finally done!! I have tons of this beautiful purple tulip/yellow plaidish fabric, I had to do something! I found it about 6 years ago in my roommate's grandmother's attic and here it still is. Who knows how long it had been there. Nice woven cotton material, not nearly as tight as the other 2 fabrics, so it's airy for the summer. And I love purple. Too bad this is too big for me, so I pass it on to you. All three fabrics are 100% cotton and were prewashed before being sewn together. The final product was machine washed to test seams and such and all is well. This top is completely lined in nice soft white muslin. There are no raw edges or open seams. I like long straps, so these fit the bill. (I once got a beautiful shirt with short straps and it was a pain to tie.) And nice long straps make it suitable for larger sized people depending on how much back you want to show. Now the important stuff:
Legnth: 24"
Tab to tab: 35"
Straps: 44 1/2"
