Recycled Yarn Tam Finally!! I am happy to present to you all the first item made with recycled yarn. The black in this comes from a sweater that I took apart. It crocheted up much softer than it had been knitted. Hmm... Both the black and eggshell yarn are 100% acrylic. The black yarn has some black metallic thread running through it that doesn't show in the pictures. It's a nice open weave to keep you cool in the coming warmer weather. Eggshell and Blue Striped Skully/Beanie My first test of a new pattern. I like it - the openness, the style.. and this eggshell color. Too bad I only have 2 skeins of it. Blue Flower/Snowflake Tam I like the blue star/flower/snowflake on the top. It's different. 100% acrylic yarn in blue, white, blue-purple, and dark blue. Rosebud Headband I made this from my own pattern, so it's a little different from other patterns. But aren't we all? 100% acrylic yarn in rose pink, dark rose pink and green for the 'leaves'. Multi-Purple Tam I recieved 4 skeins of purple multi bedspread yarn (100% cotton) so I thought I'd give it a try. This is much thinner than what I normall use, so it took forever. I loved this hat, but as my father-in-law said: the last thing I need is another big floppy hat. So here it is up for grabs. The yarn is cotton, so there is very little stretch to, but there is some. Green and Rainbow Tam I got a little carried away on this one so it's nice and large. I was having too much fun with the colors. I love the rainbow yarn, too bad this was the last of it. 100% acrylic yarn in grass green and a nice soft skein of rainbow colors. (The colors are much brighter than in the picture.) I used a more open stitch on this one so the cool breeze can flow though. Included is a chain-stitched drawstring to cinch the hat for smaller heads. This would be considered a medium- to large-sized tam, so measure yourself first. Great for dreads or to keep all that long hair out of the way.
