School, crashing in my mind
Enough knowledge to fill my time
For thirteen years.
The end of my schooling is near.

Eager to go my first day
I walk head up the whole way
And walk weirdly to school
To be confined to many rules

In Junior high am I now
I sit in class and wonder how
To run home unseen
And not have blood on my jeans

The looming monster, after me
Rapes me of my seniority
College, prepared to eat me alive
With schedules that do not jive.

Advanced theories I do not know
And My college debts will grow.
As I grasp abstract facts
In my studies I will never be lax.
