Selene vs. Sunspot

Plot -
Deep under the Amazon jungle, a group of Deviants, Eternals, and humans dedicated to
taking over the world with evolutionary power, is ready to take their final steps towards
creating the next generation of power. Using the power of a Celestial Golem, Indigo,
leader of the Damocles Foundation, Doctor Chandra, and Dr. Seigsmund Joshua, the man who
created Reignfire, are going to use Reignfire's power to fuel the powers within the Golem.
High above them, the centuries-old External sorceress Selene and X-Force member Sunspot,
whose life was nearly destroyed by Reignfire, watch in horror. However, before they can
act, the Sword, the Foundation's guards, attack the uneasy duo. Argo and Zona make short
work of Sunspot, leaving only Selene. She easily defeats Stranglehold, but Pyro stops her
with his fire. Indigo himself finishes her off, by placing a binding spell on her
forehead. Meanwhile, in a Detroit junkyard, the beings called Sledge, Arcadia, and Ulysses
are confronted by X-Force, who are looking for answers about the Damocles Foundation. The
group learns that Indigo, Ulysses's older brother, is planning to jumpstart the next wave
of mutation in humans. Back in the citadel, Sunspot and Selene weigh their options while
trapped together in a cell. Sledge, using his powerful technology, teleports the group,
including Arcadia, himself, and Ulysses to Indigo's citadel. The group lands right in
front of Selene and Sunspot. Its an uneasy reunion, as X-Force has not seen Sunspot in a
few weeks, and Selene is a known villianess. However, before they can put the past to
rest, the group learns that Indigo is ready to use Reignfire to jumpstart the Golem. The
group attacks, but Indigo cancels X-Force's powers. Ulysses fights off his brother, but is
defeated, and Arcadia is mesmerized by Indigo's gaze. Meanwhile, Selene goes after the
Golem, betraying Sunspot by trying to use the power for herself. She turned the Golem on
the Sword, devolving them. Moonstar and Arcadia use their quantuam-warping on the Golem,
destroying it. Infuriated, Selene turns her power on X-Force, teleporting them away. |
