Penance

Plot -
While taking a walk near the med-lab, Banshee and Synch discover that Penance, thought to
be now just an empty shell, has gone missing. Telepathically calling Emma, Banshee tells
the headmistress of their situation. Emma runs into a man that has hurt by some outside
force. Running back to the academy, Emma runs into the St. Croix family, including the
newly arrived Ambassador St, Croix, M's father. Emma runs off to gather the rest of team,
leaving M behind. The team enters, not knowing whether this Penance is friend or foe. The
team contends with a landslide, but no one's hurt. Meanwhile, back at the med-lab,
Ambassador St. Croix confronts the creature that was once his son, the vile Emplate. And
Emplate tells his father the story of how he murdered his mother. Back in the forest, the
team is confronted by a massive beast called a sasquatch. The team is almost defeated
until Penance arrives to drive back the beast. Then, Banshee arrives with the government
officials who lost track of the monster. Emma erases their memory, and Banshee gives Alpha
Flight a call. Alpha Flight arrives to take the beast away and give him a good home. Gen X
finds Penance, and she claws a single word into a tree: "home". However, back at
the academy, Ambassador St. Croix tells his daughter why he really came to the academy: to
withdraw her and take her home! |
