As Angus Kabiri...

Angus is a dark and exotic looking man with considerable physical presence. Yet he is a gentle soul, non-assuming, modest and quietly spoken. He and Diver Dan live life at a similarly unrushed pace. He is an excellent surfer and spends many hours pursuing the perfect wave. It actually comes as a shock to most people, especially Laura, that he is the Clerk of Courts.

As Tom Long...

Tom has a most diverse background to draw on to assist him in his character portrayals. Originally a farmboy from Benalla, he worked as a jackaroo and shearer after leaving school. Tom then took time out from Australia and travelled through India for six months with some Afghan refugees. He spent some time in the UK and then the US, working as a wool buyer in South Carolina. Somewhere in between he rode his bicycle from Los Angeles across the States to South Carolina.

Returning to Australia he worked in a number of odd jobs, including wool buying and insurance selling. For a period he felt inspired to become a pilot but after escorting a light aircraft around the world he knew it wasn't for him.

At a loss as to which direction his career was going to take, Tom followed a friend's advice and applied for NIDA. His audition was his first acting experience. He was successful and entered NIDA the following year. Since graduating in 1994 he has worked consistently in the industry. His television credits include G.P., A Country Life, The Last of the Ryans, Kings In Grass Castles and Doing Time for Patsy Cline. He also has numerous theatre credits and has also appeared in the movie Strange Planet which also stars Alice Garner, and also the critically acclaimed movie The Dish which also starred Kevin Harrington. Tom believes he is the only actor whose life has become more regular since starting acting!
