1998 Media Coverage of the Rule of al-Saud House

OCTOBER 1998 NEWS

Afghan Taleban consider trying Bin Laden (October 7, 1998) Prince Saud al-Faisal exerted pressure on the Taleban to show the world that the Taleban are not in agreement with the bombings of US embassies around the world. The Taleban acquiesced once they recognize the game al-Saud are trying to play. If this story was supposed to ease the west, it may give rise to extreme Wahabbi sect in Saudi Arabia that supports the Taleban and bin Laden. The news was first reported by al-Hayat, a Saudi newspaper, which is 100% owned by Saudi money (Prince Khalid bin Sultan). At a budget of $18million a year, al-Hayat looses approximately $15million a year. Its purpose is to voice al-Saud opinion using the non diplomatic and political official channels.

SEPTEMBER 1998 NEWS

U.S. MAKING SAME MISTAKES IN SAUDI ARABIA IT MADE IN IRAN, Los Angeles Times - William Pfaff, September 1, 1998 Provided by a CACSA supporter. History repeats itself once more. A new leader will emerge (if Naef does not throw him in prison or assassinate him) that will work with western interests but not at the expense of the national interests.
Saudis secretly funding Taliban, The Independent - Robert Fisk, September 2, 1998 The Saudis are supporting the extremist Taliban in Afghanistan who are harboring Osama bin Laden. Iran is about to invade Afghanistan because of Taliban's mudering of 10 Iranian diplomats. The US, who has made bin Laden, wants him now yet it is supporting al-Saud who are supporting the regime protecting bin Laden. The UU is seeking rapproachement with Iran and so are al-Saud. Confused? Don't be. This is international politics where interests reign and friendshis are meaningless.
Water Shortages Hit Saudi Cities, AP Online, September 1, 1998 Abdul Aziz bin Fahd has been known in the past to sell water to residents of the major cities when heat is at its peak and demand is high. They instruct water desalination plants not to supply water and then sell that water to the citizens at exhorbitant prices. Just another form of corruption that al-Saud have mastered as rulers of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia trying to protect its economy from "instability", AFP, September 8, 1998 This claim was quoted by Sultan bin Abdul Aziz. CACSA has two comments to make: 1) Who has charged Sultan, a defense expert, with making this claim? 2) Sultan and his brothers are the reason why Saudi Arabia's economy is in such disarray. With Abdullah not making it official who his crown prince will be when he takes over as king, Sultan is trying to impose his statemanship on all Saudis.
RFID Systems Announces Partnership With Saudi Arabian Trading Company, Business Wire, September 9, 1998 While the country suffers under the weight of inamaginable financial woes, al-saud are still spending money on security issues to keep their strong hold onto a weak regime and a weaker country because of their policies and over arching negative rule.
Saudi King Fahd urges restraint in Iran-Afghan row (September 7, 1998) According to our sources, King Fahd has instigated the killing of 10 Iranian diplomats by the Wahabbi Talebans to foment trouble between two Muslim countries both of which need to be controlled. Fahd would love to see Iran invade Afghanistan the way he encouraged Saddam Hussein to invade Iran. So sick, so out of government, yet has the time and stamina to conspire against other Muslims.

BOEING EXEC: SAUDI BUY KEY TO SURVIVAL OF F-15 LINE (September 15, 1998) Bandar bin Sultan, due to the economic situation and lack of funds, has been unable to commit for this purchase. As predicted by CACSA in 1996, the US companies are not satisfied with a simple 'no' answer. They have started resorting to high publicity pressure. These tactics will eventually move to a full fledged adverserial confrontation that may end up for further erosion of al-Saud influence in the US. This is the beginning of the end of al-Saud.

BAe facing Pounds 500m Saudi shortfall (September 13, 1998) "The shortfall has been caused by the slump in the price of oil, which the Saudis use to finance purchases under the Pounds 20 billion, 10-year Al Yamamah programme. At present, 600,000 barrels a day is dedicated to Al Yamamah, but that oil buys much less than it did because of the price fall." To dedicate 600,000 barrels a day for the purchase of airplanes exemplifies the lack of accountability on behalf of a family buying arms to protect itself against inside threats using public funds.

Saudi Arabia Expels Afghan Diplomat (September 22, 1998) al-Saud support Taleban's extreme religious fervor. They thought they could demand the head of Osama bin Laden because of their support. When the Taleban refused to deliver bin Laden, al-Saud retaliated under pressure from the US State Department.

AUGUST 1998 NEWS

CNN QUITTING ORBIT?, Interspace, August 6, 1998 As the economy get worse and worse in Saudi Arabia, we are seeing the effects of the mismanagement of Saudi companies. First, it was al-Ibrahims defaulting payment to the Marriott hotel chain and now Orbit in default on payments to CNN.
Policeman, drug dealer killed in Saudi Arabia, Reuters, August 15, 1998 What a lie. He is not a drug dealer. This man's brother was detained by the Saudi authorities in Dahran and was never released. He committed suicide and took an innocent policeman with him symbolizing taking the government of al-Saud regime. Another disinformation campaign by the propaganda machine of al-Saud. UPDATED: Propaganda Section
Oil slump to cost OPEC $50 billion in 1998, Reuters - Andrew Mitchell, August 20, 1998 Saudi Arabia -- which relies on petrodollars for three quarters of its state revenue -- is getting just $10 a barrel for its main Arab Light export grade against the $14.50-$15 it budgeted for this year. This may add another $7 to $10 billion in deficit to an already bloated $100 billion budget deficit.
Saudi King Fahd re-admitted to hospital for "Minor Complications", Reuters, August 24, 1998 CACSA has learned that Mohammed bin Fahd, Abdul Aziz bin Fahd, Khalid al-Ibrahim, and  Bandar bin Sultan are in the hospital around the clock. These minor complications may be major downfall of the most corrupt and the most rich King ever lived.
Owner of Sudan Factory Has No Known Ties to Extremists, The Wall Street Journal - Danny Pearl, August 24, 1998 This article brings into focus the extent of al-Saud front men penetration of ownership of companies, products, and businesses in the Middle East. Sudan is but another station for al-Saud and the Wahhabi movement.

JULY 1998 NEWS

Five Christians arrested in Saudi Arabia, Reuters, July 2, 1998 How can we be a member of the UN, and soon WTO, have a seat at the IMF, a new seat in the International Bank of Settlements and yet be allowed to persecute the religion of the people who are giving us all that access? Please e-mail us and tell us what do you think?
The prince who blew a billion, The Sunday Times, July 5, 1998 A scathing report on Prince Mohammed bin Fahd who has reportedly reneged on payments of monies due to one of his front men. As the economic crunch get tighter, CACSA expects to see more people getting the short end of the stick working for al-Saud and eventually blowing the whistle on their corruption. For the right or the wrong reasons, CACSA applauds the washing of al-Saud dirty laundry in a public forum. Who is next?
Saudis say French tank too costly, Reuters, July 7, 1998 All tanks are costly especially the ones purchased by a defunct economy. The problem here is that the commissions are not as beefy as the ones negotiated in Britain and the US.
Saudi Arabia rationalizing spending-Prince Sultan, Reuters, July 7, 1998 Is the pressure of the people finally getting to al-Saud or is this for local consumption? The title should have read Saudi Arabia rationalizing commissions -Prince Sultan
Saudis near end of seven-year wait to surf the Net, AFP, July 15, 1998 It is taking al-Saud seven years to decide whether they want our people to have access to information on the Internet. The system that will eventually be available, if at all, is so censored that its use will be very limited and inefficient. What shall we expect from a regime that has the only operating X-Ray security system in airports set to detect printed materials as well as bombs.
Yemen accuses Saudi Arabia of seizing its land, Reuters, July 16, 1998 al-Saud have started a war in Yemen that they lost, have plagued their government through an inconsistent immigration policy, have nurtured discord and mistrust, all for the purpose of seizing oil rich lands from Yemen. Bandar bin Sultan once said:"You cannot buy a Yemeni, but you can rent one". This how al-Saud think of Yemen and Yemenis in general.
Yemen says Saudi attacks Red Sea island, three dead, Reuters, July 20, 1998 al-Saud have bad relations with Jordan, cold relations with Syria. warring relations with Iraq, hate relations with Kuwait, animated relations with Qatar, and now a prelude to a possible full fledge war with Yemen. No wonder we seek to spend so much on arms!!!
Lucent wins $699 million Saudi deal, Reuters, July 20, 1998 Our beloved Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd is the behind the scene agent of AT&T and Lucent in Saudi Arabia. The funny part about this announcement is that it does not discuss any details of the expansion of the mobile network, which would have given a hint to the amount of commissions that will be paid by Lucent to Abdul Aziz. The fact that the stock of Lucent went up 7% also tells CACSA that Lucent has a high profit margin in this contract.
Kamala's Tears, TIME MAGAZINE, July 20, 1998 Maybe we are to blame the ignorance of our countrymen who slave other people because they do not understand right from wrong, but the ones really to blame are al-Saud for not punishing the people who commit these crimes.
Arab Diplomat Confirms Saudi "Occupation" of Yemeni Island, AFP, July 20, 1998 First al-Saud lie about even occupying the island. They kill three Yemenis in the process and then they send our Foreign Minister Faisal al-Saud to negotiate with Yemeni president Saleh. Stirring up trouble in Yemen is a foreign policy decision taken by Sultan. With about 500,000 Yemenis working in Saudi Arabia, al-Saud are asking for trouble.

JUNE 1998 NEWS

WorldSpace Announces the Creation of Four New Channels in Partnership With Leading Saudi Media Group, Business Wire, June 11, 1998 On one hand, many government agencies, affiliations, human rights groups, etc. complain of world complacency when it comes to serving humanity and on the other hand, they let an organization such as WorldSpace, Inc. mushroom and control radio airwaves by the same people who commit crimes against humanity. Khalid bin Mahfouz' investment of $800 million in this venture has one purpose only: to spread fundamental Wahabbi thoughts throughout Africa and the Middle East.
U.S. investigation of Saudi bombing collapses, Reuters, June 21, 1998 Exactly what the al-Saud wanted happened: The disappearance of an investigation that would have uncovered many skeletons. Al-Saud do not understand that monarchies with a despotic inclination are disappearing one after the other. Theirs is the last of many. That investigation would have given the FBI the first glimpse of that decline, something al-Saud did not want to show for fear of loosing the US strong support of a Status Quo.
U.S. has not given up in Saudi bombing probe, Reuters, June 24, 1998 If it was not for the families of the 19 killed US servicemen, the US Government would have given up more easily on the pursuit of the truth since it does not serve its purpose nor the purpose of its strategic ally Saudi Arabia. Whether Janet Reno is sincere about her claim or whether this is political storm calming remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Bandar is hard at work keeping these families from knowing the truth. Please write Ambassador Bandar to his private home to ask him why he is blocking the investigation. Ambassador Bandar bin Sultan - 644 Chain Bridge Road - McLean, VA  22101
U,S. faces dilemma two years after Saudi bombing, Reuters, June 25, 1998   Saudi royal money influence is so widespread that the story looks like it has been written in a the Saudi Ministry of Interior. To some in the US Government, pursuing the killers is a non productive exercise in the overall foreign policy of the US. To others, it is a question of not letting terrorism prevail.
Saudi says aims to boost local military industry, Reuters, June 25, 1998 With such shortages of cash and high government expenditures, our royal family is thinking about arming itself further. Economics 101 will never be understood to the acceleration of the demise of our economy. The more money they steal, the more they are destroying the country. And we are so stupid to allow them to continue that process.
French defense minister to hold talks in Saudi, Reuters, June 27, 1998 The facts are that the French are just taking advantage of an opportunity to sell their weapons to the one of the last few countries on earth whose annual defense expenditures are equal to 30% of their annual revenues. Our economy is in shamble, our state of affairs is disoriented yet the weapons we buy rust under the desert heat for lack of use and purpose.

MAY 1998 NEWS

Saudi's Making Way for Net?, Reuters, May 6, 1998 The piecemeal Internet service Saudi Arabia will be providing is so censored (No Search Engines, No News) that it is a joke to say that Saudi Arabia has the Internet. And once Arabic becomes widespread, they will interrupt it all together the way they have stopped freedom of the press.
Senators Find Gulf Troop Morale Low, AP, May 7, 1998 Isn't enough that we had these troops living in an extremist society built by al-Saud with absolutely no freedom and the everyday danger of being killed, now we have moved them to a no man's land in the middle of the desert that even our Bedouin ancestors could not survive. All this to protect the rule of al-Saud. Do you know how to write your congressman?
Airmen's memorial hits snag, halted at Patrick, Florida Times-Union, May 7, 1998 Innocent dead Americans are treated with disrespect and disregard. Not only do they die protecting a corrupt family, but we cannot even find money to erect a memorial in their honor. Bandar is ignoring the problem since the bad publicity does not suit him.
Globalstar Adds Eight Gulf-States and Middle East Countries to Worldwide Satellite Services Network; Globalstar Service Provider Agreements Now Cover 114 Nations, Business Wire, May 5, 1998 The same people who were involved in BCCI are now trying to control telecommunications to the Middle East. This is Fahd's money embezzled from the National Treasury at work.
Saudi Absolves Iran of 1996 Bombing That Killed 19 U.S. Soldiers, The Washington Post, May 23, 1998 While everyone agrees that rogue elements of the Iranian Revolution masterminded the killing of Americans on Saudi soil, no one expected, least of all the al-Saud, that young Saudis would be involved in such acts. Our royal family has been living in caves for the past twenty years not to feel people simmering. It is beyond belief that they still think they can buy loyalty and dissent with money. They still do not get it.
Saudi Arabia welcomes change in Indonesia,  Reuters, May 25, 1998 Sources inside SPA tell CACSA that this piece was written to challenge the piece written by Jane's Intelligence Review and more importantly for al-Saud to disassociate themselves from the parallels of that regime.
Foreign investors offer Sudan nuclear power station, Agence France de Presse, May 27, 1998 Once again Khalid bin Mahfouz appears to be the chief in charge of investing in nuclear powered utility in Sudan. Could he be trying next to sell missiles to Sudan?
British nurses say tortured by Saudi police, Reuters, May 22, 1998   This is just another case of human rights violations that are exercised every day in Saudi jails. Torturing people is a way of life for al-Saud. It matters not for them who you are and what you do, the chances are that they have already bought into your government with big suitcases of cash to greedy politicians so now your own government does not care a bit about your well being.
Iran-Saudi warming has limits, Reuters, May 28, 1998 A revealing pre-analysis view of the new Saudi-Iranian ties. The fact that some intelligence Iranian Officers were recruiting Saudis in the Eastern Province has so much scared al-Saud that they have chosen rapprochement with their arch-rival for moral control of the region. But as all honeymoons, this one won't last forever and agents to the Ayatollahs are already hard at work to make this pact fail. If it does, al-Saud will be forced to finally look at themselves for answers and not to the outside.
I covered up hotel bill, says Saudi adviser, Daily Telegraph, May 21, 1998 These are the stories that are starting to come out from Said Ayas. Their angle deals with the British media (i.e. MP Aitken). Once they absorb all that information, the media will pay attention to the kind of stories we want to hear from Mr. Ayas related to the corruptness and incompetency of al-Saud.

APRIL 1998 NEWS

UN rights body drops Japan,Saudi Arabia from list, Reuters, April 9, 1998 For the UN to drop Saudi Arabia from its Watch List is unconscionable. No wonder the UN has become a toy in the hands of the powerful. This tells us how much respect we should have for that organization who just sold its soul to Bandar bin Sultan. Why is the US willing to go a long way to please Saudi Arabia when it gets most of its oil from Venezuela?
American Jewish Congress Sends Condolences to Saudi Arabia Following Deaths at Conclusion Of Mecca Hajj, PR Newswire, April 9, 1998 The American Jewish Congress publicizes a letter they sent to Bandar. Reports of nurses' release "speculative", Reuters, April 15, 1998  Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair has visited Saudi Arabia for the first time as PM of the UK. Speculations are flying on the imminent release of the two nurses. If money exchanged hands from the killer's family to the victim's family in accordance with the rituals of the Koran, why are the two nurses still being held?
U.S. plans missile sales to Saudi Arabia, Israel, Reuters, April 21, 1998 This is the price Saudi Arabia is paying for the US support in dropping Saudi Arabia from its Human Rights watch List. These are missiles that we do not need, nor can pay for, nor can assimilate into our society in terms of maintenance and support. Wake up Bandar, Saudis know you are simply doing this for commissions.
Saudis still paying arrears despite low oil price, AFP, April 25, 1998  First, we we destroyed Saudi Water Tables which will require hundreds of years to replenish. Second, we did not pay farmers on time which will jeopardize any new incentive program the government may put in place. Third, we embarked on a foolish policy whose results have destroyed our resources and our credibility. It costs us $2 a bushel of wheat when we can buy it at 30 cents in the commodity markets.
UK nurses not about to be freed --Saudi ambassador, Reuter, April 27, 1998 The pressure has been mounting to release the two British nurses accused of killing an Australian nurse. The Saudi authorities are afraid that once the two nurses are released, they will talk to the media which may uncover the truth behind the killing and the racketeering that goes on at our hospitals. CACSA believes that security guards may have been behind the killing.
You can't buy a tank at TRIDEX, but you can buy technology to make it work better; Where to Test Drive A Missile, Salt lake Tribune, April 24, 1998 While Saudi Arabia is still suffering from tremendous economic hardship, Sultan's cronies are still roaming the world trying to buy arms just to earn their commissions.

MARCH 1998 NEWS

Saudis End Khobar Towers Bomb Probe, AP Online, March 30, 1998 For those who died in al-Khobar their death was in vain. al-Saud once again mock the US by announcing that they know who did it, won't tell, and at the right time they will disclose that information which is tantamount to NEVER.
Saudi Royal Leads Shrine Ceremony, AP Online, March 29, 1998 For those who know Majed bin Abdul Aziz know very well his drinking problem and excessive lifestyle. For him to lead the ceremony in Mecca is an insult to Moslems around the world.

Hughes to Build Two Satellites for American Mobile Radio, Business Wire, March 24, 1998 Khalid bin Mahfouz investment in WorldSpace is materializing quickly. Control of airwaves in Third World Countries will be dominated by an extremist and a corrupt family. Write your Congressman to object to al-Saud money from having a say in what the future will hold amongst billions of people.
Appeal from a mother of a kidnapped child, Margaret McClain, March 1, 1998 She is but
one of many who are fighting to get back their children. She is right about the Koran and as non-violent and non-Wahabbi Muslims, we should help these women impose the rule of law on all who break it.
Saudi King Taken to Hospital, AP-Tarek al-Issawi, March 9, 1998 It used to take a miracle for information to clear the King's palace before dissemination. This new approach of telling the public unimportant information is al-Saud way to show that they are open to the public. Smart Saudis are not fooled.
U.S. military begins anthrax shots for Gulf troops, Charles Aldinger, March 10, 1998 It may be a precaution since the shots require time to be effective or it may be a prelude for another showdown with Saddam. In any event, Saudi Arabia loses. If war breaks: the increase in oil prices will be offset by war payments. Saudis will react to al-Saud lack of judgement and mishandling. If war does not break: Oil prices will be depressed. Attention is turned towards the peace process
Saudi-Venezuelan battle has OPEC over a barrel, AFP, March 11, 1998 While Saudi Arabia thinks that with more production they can increase their revenues, they have totally discounted Venezuela's ability to produce. Add Iraq to the equation and we will see oil prices that will create the type of pressure CACSA thinks will permanently change the regime of the Sudeiri Seven.
Saudi King Fahd Is Out of Hospital, AP, March 11, 1998 Our beloved King has safely left the hospital to his sumptuous palace. Maybe he can turn his reign and crown to Abdullah once and for all if Sultan, Naef and Salman do not object. But then miracles do not happen in Saudi Arabia.

FEBRUARY 1998 NEWS

Gulf Roils, But US Buys Oil Elsewhere Friendly Venezuela, not Saudi Arabia, is largest US supplier; it's doubling output, Christian Science Monitor, February 9, 1998 The importance of Saudi Arabia is diminishing as Venezuela replaces it as the most important producer for the US market. However, Saudi Arabia plays a strategic role in the US policy of containing Asia.
U.S. to Avoid Strikes From Saudi Bases, The Washington Post - Bradley Graham, February 9, 1998 The pressure on the al-Saud regime is mounting so much that is forcing the hand of the US military in the region. Bandar bin Sultan has requested this announcement to ease the pressure.
