WEIRD SNAPSHOTS, STRANGE TRUTHS, ODD REALITIES AND WACKY INFO ABOUT JAPAN COURTESY OF HASEGAWA ( ) TOMOKO
I am not sure about the name of these flowers, so I better not say it rather than giving a wrong name. These are flowers that were sent to Japan from Washington, D.C., USA. They are sent in exchange for sakura trees we sent to America in 19th century. © Hasegawa Tomoko |

This is a common photo of Japan, the sake (rice wine) barrels at temples. They are offerings from people and companies or businesses (shops, factories, etc.) that have wishes and prayers sent to the gods. Many people say Japanese gods are 'bad' because they don't give protection and grants without being paid..... But this is tradition of my country. © Hasegawa Tomoko |
