The price of "affordable" housing must be kept at a level that is genuinely affordable. The provision of social housing is about quality as well as quantity. Family friendly housing must be prioritised. All housing should be integrated. Public land should be used to provide social affordable and "not for profit" housing instead of being passed on to private developers to maximize their profits. The private rental sector must be regulated to guarantee security of tenure and fair rent. | |||||
