| Vote Joe Mooney North Inner City Ward - Dublin City Council The chaos in the city has to end. Residents and commuters alike deserve better. Mature and settled communities cannot be expected to accommodate motorway level traffic. Traffic management plans must ensure residential areas are not subjected to rat running, congestion and unacceptable levels of air pollution. Consultation and consensus is important in the introduction of traffic calming measures. Public transport must be greatly improved. Delivery of an integrated public transport strategy for the city is essential. All proposals must be accompanied by realistic costings and a deliverable time scale. Businesses should initiate measures which help address traffic congestion - ie. shuttle bus services, bicycle parking, etc. | ||||||||||
