| Both of us were born and brought up on the Wirral and now live in the historic village of Port Sunlight. Deborah I have experience in teaching, training and working directly with young people, including working for Connexions the youth support service. I have helped young people reach their full potential and plan their future careers. John I am a very practical person with a background in scientific research. I have additional skills ranging from IT to breadmaking, cycling, D.I.Y. and music - playing keyboard in jazz and rock bands. Together we will join a growing band of volunteers in helping less fortunate communities of the world. We have enjoyed holidays in many countries. We now want to be more than just tourists. We aim to connect with communities and provide opportunities for those who deserve better than the little available now. We also plan to bring back additional skills and experiences and connect the communities we have helped as volunteers with our own in the UK. |
