| The year is After Colony (A.C.) 195 Humans have colonized space to help the population of Earth. They built space colonies throughout space that can house millions of humans. The colonies are grouped in clusters at 5 gravitationally stable places in the Earth's orbit (L1, L2, L3, L4, L5). The colonies hope for independence from the Earth Alliance that strictly controls them. |
| The United Earth Sphere Alliance a.k.a. Earth Alliance a.k.a Alliance is the organization that governs/rules Earth and the Space Colonies. Ironically it was created to unite the worlds and maintain peace, but it is a military organization that rules through force. They want to wipe out any opposition that comes their way. |

Usually standing hundreds of feet tall and equipped with lots of fire power. The Gundams are one of the many types of Mobile Suits. |

| Since the Alliance is treating the Colonies cruely certain citizens on each of the colonies secretly build the Mobile Suits called Gundams. There are 5 Gundams in all; one from each colony (L1, L2...), each Gundam was disguised as a shooting star and sent to Earth to destroy OZ and the Alliance in hopes of gaining peace for the colonies. This was called Operation Meteor. |

| The Gundams are superior Mobile Suits compared to those created before them. They are made out of Gundanium alloy which is very very strong, thus creating a very very strong Mobile Suit. Each Gundam was designed by a different scientist (5 scientists in all, one on each colony), one pilot was trained for each Gundam. |

| Operation Meteor was supposed to be a secret but the Alliance catches on. In space they are only capable of catching up with one of the 'shooting stars' out of the five that is headed toward Earth. Lieutenant Zechs is one of the men aboard the Alliance ship and has the first encounter with a Gundam that happens to be Wing Gundam piloted by Heero. There is a small battle and Wing Gundam ends up falling into the sea and Heero washes up on shore unconcious. |
