Heero was raised practically from birth to be a soldier. His past is shrouded in mystery and his real name is not even Heero. His real name is possibly Odin Lowe Jr. He was raised and trained by a man named Odin Lowe for a good portion of his early life. Odin was an assasin and raised Heero to be one also. He is most likely the one to introduce Heero to his life of war and killing .
Odin eventually passes on and Heero mets up with Dr. J, a scientist, who asks him if he would like to pilot a Gundam(Wing Gundam). Heero accepts and his life continues to be filled with training, missions, and killing. The purpose of the Gundam was to carry out Operation Meteor.
The real Heero Yuy was a leader of the space colonies who wanted peace but was assasinated in A.C. 175. Heero took his name as a code name before he went on Operation Meteor.
As Heero headed toward earth in his Gundam which was disquised as a shooing star, the Alliance caught on to Operation M and attacked him. He transformed into his Gundam and fought but Gundam Wing ended up falling into the ocean and Heero washed up on shore.
This is the begining of the Prussian Blue eyed babes mission/adventure that changes his life and many others forever.
Due to his chilhood, which wasn't much of one, Heero is a very secretive, cold, unemotional, and calculated person. He lives to carry out missions, and does whatever it takes to achieve them. His entire life the only thing he has known is War.
He is a trained assasin and Gundam pilot which proves to be a deadly combination. He has killed people his entire life and even attempts to kill Relena at point blank range for knowing too much about him.
In Eps. 10 he demonstrates his complete devotion to his mission by self-distructing for the sake of the colonies, which Lady Une threatened to blow up. It was supposed to take his life as well but Trowa took him back to the Circus with him to get better.
A couple of band-aids weren't going to fix Heero(he tried to blow himself up!). He was unconcious for a month but he pulled through and eventually fully recovers.
He and Trowa team up a few times and prove to be an excellent team. They are similar in the fact that they are both very mysterious, quiet, and completely devoted to their missions. Heero even makes Trowa laugh, possibly for the first time in his life.
Heero & Relena: This is a sensitive topic.
Alot of people absolutely hate Relena and think she is a psycho stalker who won't leave him alone, and cringe at the thought of them in a relationship.
Other people like Relena or don't mind her, and have no problem, or like the idea of them together.
Heero attempts to kill Relena at least 4 times but does not succeed. It bothers him for a while that he can't bring himself to kill her. But why can't he? He questions himself of this and can't find an answer.
Mostly it is due to how he has lived entire life. he has never allowed himself to become close to any one and he is most likely afraid to commit himself to a relationship, OR he just doesn't like her, the end.
Heero eventually becomes the pilot of gundam Wing Zero.
Wing Zero contains the ZERO syatem. Heero is one of the few pilots to actually master it.
This shows what an excellent pilot he is.
Endless Waltz is the conclusion to Gundam Wing.
In it, Heero makes the decision to never kill anyone again. He feels it won't be necesary any more.
In the last few scenes we are left with the images of Heero secretly observing one of Relean's speeches, and then vanishing to return to space.
