The EC GAA Club in
Brussels has very successfully been promoting Gaelic football at all
levels in Brussels and Europe.
The Club has a strong Mens Gaelic Football team, competing in the new European GAA League.
The Club has hosted a number
of major European GAA events, including the Sam Maguire Weekend in
Feb2000,
which included a Brussels Vs Rest-of-Europe Gaelic Football match,
and was graced by the presence of the Premier Prize in Gaelic
Football, the Sam Maguire Cup itself, which accompanied Tommy Dowd &
Enda McManus of the Meath's All-Ireland winning team.

The U.14 Team of Brussels have travelled to Dublin in 2000 and Thurles in 2001 to compete in the GAA's Feile Peil na nOg. In 2001 the team recorded a famous result against a Waterford side, were watched with interest by GAA President Sean McCague, and headlined a Press Report on the Feile Event of 2001.
The team also hosted a visit from Juvenile Club Corofin/Sylaun of Galway in June 2001.
2002, training will recommence in March, the Brux kids will host another Irish visit, and will again compete in Ireland in the Feile Peil na nOg 2002.

Brussels is currently leading the development of Ladies Football in mainland Europe, arranging matches and promoting Ladies' GAA amongst the other Euro Clubs. A number of ladies from Paris, The Hague and Lux have joined the Brussels ladies in recent matches. For info, contact Patricia.
