Normally, One anchor leaves at a time. This time, the weekend anchors of FOX 5 News at Ten left at the same time. Morris Jones, who has been at WTTG since 1983 has left. There are no whereabouts on where he will turn up in the future. Aleen Sirgnarny has also left FOX 5 for CBS Newspath, the CBS Affiliate news service, so it will not be uncommon to see her on WUSA 9 Eyewitness News every now and then. Morris, who was a long time weekday anchor of the Ten O'Clock News, was removed in January 1999 and replaced by Mike Landess who recently came from WXIA in Atlanta by way of KBTV/KUSA. |
