This beautiful, but very strong, built woman was a childhood friend of Cloud. They "broke up" when Cloud left their hometown of Nibelheim to join SOLDIER. Before he left, he made a promise that he would come and save Tifa should she be in any kind of trouble. After her parents died, she too left Nibelheim and moved to Midgar where she became a bar hostess at her bar, "Tifa's Seventh Heaven". It was here that she eventually joined AVALANCHE and when she met Cloud for the first time after he left Nibelheim (there's more to that first time meeting thing than I'm letting on...but I don't want to spoil the story fory you). That's when she reminded him of his promise to her and asked him to join AVALANCHE after the Number 1 Reactor mission.

Where is this weapon found? In the broken vending machine in the Wall Market.
Limit Breaks
Level 1:
- Beat Rush -
A quick little combo that does a pretty good bit of damage.
- Somersault -
The good thing about Tifa's limit breaks is that they add on to the previous ones. After the Beat Rush, Tifa does a little somersault to do a little more damage.
Level 2:
- Waterkick -
After the previous two attacks, a wave of water splashes the enemy after a nice little kick.
- Meteodive -
Finally. After the Beat Rush, the Somersault, and the Waterkick, Tifa uses brute unladylike strength and backdrops the enemy.
Level 3:
- Dolphin Blow -
On the fifth hit, a dolphin is summoned for a nice watery uppercut to add to the watery kick.
- Meteor Strike -
After the Dolphin Blow, Tifa lifts up her opponent once again and slams then down waaaaayyyyy harder than the Meteodive.
Level 4:
- Final Heaven -
(In the piano at Tifa's house after Cloud has his flashback at Kalm Inn)
With this one, Tifa charges up a mega-punch from her fists and gives her enemies a horrid recollection of atomic bomb testing.
Most powerful Limit Break: All of them successfully chained together ending with the Final Heaven.
