Our Soccer Blitz by Rapter

One day before the holidays our teacher said that we could have a occer blitz. There were four teams. My team were playing first. We didn’t tog out as we didn’t know about it. It was a lovely surprise. After the second semi-final we had the final.

It was a very hard game but at the end my team won. We all went back inside. Then our teacher gave out the prizesto our team. There were three of us. The prizes were big bags of sweets. Yum! Yum!

A day at the beach by Sukko

On our journey to the beach we made some stops on the way. We learned about nature and about Stradbally too. Then we got to the beach.
First of all we lined out the pitch.We made the goals then. And the ball is off. Ninja’s team won the game.

Then we had a Sand- Castle Competition. Sabu and I had a sand castle called Sandy Town. Two other boys won the competition and they got a pound. Then we took photos. We belly flopped the sand castles and walked back to school.

The School Final by Gizzmo

We are going to play the School Final today. I am on Christopher’s team. We are playing Pádraig’s Team. I’d say we are going to win.
It was The Hurling Final and our captain is excellent at hurling. We put on our togs and ran out to the pitch. We had to wait for the Principal because he is the referee.
Well we started the match. It was a good match . We got plaques . The runners- up got medals.

End of Term 2001 by Sabu

Hello. My name is Sabu. I am writing about the end of the school year 2001. Every year we have a football and hurling League . I was not the same team as Gizzmo. We have just received medals and the other team got plaques. They won.

Our Day At The Beach by Ninja

Our day at the beach was very good fun. We had a soccer tournament . That was fun too. The Sand Castle Competition was the best. Two fourth class boys won. Everyones was good. Me and Jim worked together. Everyone worked in pairs. Me and Jim had tomb stones on our sandcastle.

Anuraidh bhí coiníní ag súgradh in aice na scoile. Bhí siad amuigh ar an bhféar. Chonaic mé iad ag rith agus ag léim. Bhí  siad ag ithe freisin. Bhí siad go hálainn.

My Communion Day
insert name - In September we got ready for the Communion . We used Alive0 5. Twenty people came to my communion from my family, five children and fifteen adults. On the day Second class are going to receive the Bread of Life for the first time.
The Holy Communion was on the 11 May. It was excellent. All my relatives came. I did the reading for the Offertory Procession. An Luichín brought up a ball. Homer brought up a clock – we share our time with others. Sam brought up the chalice. Spike and Bart did the bidding prayers. We went to a new house for tea and there were toys around the back so we could play with them. At the end of the day I was very tired .

I was practising for my communion . I like my class . I am very happy. Jack called out the peoples’ names. I was smiling going with the ball for the offertory procession. There were lots of people in the church. I went to the toy shop afterwards. There were lots of clothes in the big shop. We received the Bread of Life.
I bought football boots for myself. Sabu was singing .We had a party at home. My Nanny came down.

Sam -
It was funny when I lifted up the chalice in the church. Everyone thought that I was going to spill the wine. But it was empty. I reminded them of winning a match – The World Cup! When Jack read I went up the church. An Luichín carried a ball. Homer carried a clock . Spike did a reading and Bart did a reading too. I carried the chalice. Fr. Enright said the mass.. The Choir sang lots of lovely songs and our parents were there.

Homer;
My preparation was Alive 0 5. I made my Holy Communion in the church. I got ready at my house. I am going to the Halfway House. I was looking forward to making my Holy Communion. I have sixteen people coming.
It was on May 11. I brought the clock. Jack was a caller. RRRR brought some artwork. An Luichín brought a ball. CCCC brought the bible. MMM brought the photos. Sam and EEEE brought the cups. The first, second, third , fourth , fifth and sixth readers were SSSS LLLL Spike AAAA., Bart and NNNN. Fr. Enright was the priest. Ms O’Riordan gave us our things for the procession. Ms Power called the people out for their candles.

Bart
After my First Holy Communion I had a party. Then I went to Splash World. Then I went to the Amusement Park in Tramore. I went on a pedal boat. I went on a little train and I went on a rollercoaster and more things. I got XXX Euro . I got XX Euro and I wasn’t even out of my pjamas.

Spike.
I was excited about makinh my First Holy Communion. My Mammy booked the Hotel. We went to the church to practice. We prepared by learning our prayers and getting to know Jesus – What’s The Story – Bible Story.
I met Jesus. I received the Bread of Life . Then there was tea after the mass. I said a reading – bidding prayer and then we went to the Park Hotel.
We had a meal there. I had chips , sausages and beans . Then I went swimming and then I went home. I felt very tired. I had a lovely Day.
