ROLLING STONE

Hiding behind a subterfuge
On a lovely windy morning
When the mist went haywire
Helter skelter
Behind the allegorical pine tree
Children scuttered
Beneath the rainbow
Sashaying trees drivelled
Like W H Auden
In gay abandon.
The polemics of scholasticsm
Figuratively speaking
Created the disclosure
Like a moron to skip
The beauty of Bethoven's tone.
Aghast at scurrilious opinion
A streaky moment
Paused to breathe and shore
The crumbs of paranoia
Like the carnival at Rio de Janerio.
Cranky and without method
Old thoughts
Swayed in rickety chair
Draining the drought
Of the mirth and Victorian rage.
The jaundiced look fortells
A stand-up malise
Disbelief to contend
Every sentence look for a ruse
To hide behind the subterfuge.
