    There is not much to helping your DSM breath better. All you need is a K&N filter (about $40 from any DSM vendor) and a Dremil tool. Remove the air can and hack it up like so, add the new filter and you are done.

    Some bozo at a CA smog "Test Only" station tried to fail me for this mod on my car. Can you believe that? All the stuff we have done to this car and some jerk tried to fail me for an "open element air cleaner". Get a life. We had it out and he grudgingly passed me. All my cars have always passed smog, maybe not on the first try . . . This car passed with flying colors.
