This is a bad idea because the joints in your legs are more vulnerable to injury if they are not exercised and there is no muscle in them. Improving your leg strength can improve your overall performance in sports like football, basketball and rugby. Spatan style exercises To shape your legs up to Spartan standard, you can gain both strength and balance off doing the split squat. Put one leg behind you up on a bench and your other leg in a normal position as if you were standing up straight. Bend your straight leg down so that the upper section of that leg is parallel to the floor. For power, Perform the squat jump. This is where you do a normal bodyweight squat but when you are at the bottom of the movement, explosively push yourself upwards and jump into the air. ![]()
