Can you gimme more tips?
Of Course! Thats why im here!
When Sniping try and stay away from other snipers or obvious places UNLESS your pair sniping. Thats to say unless your working as a team with another sniper on your team. If you do do this idea, then take one shot each. Go for different targets. Be generous. The idea of working in pairs is so that you dont run out of ammo but still cause casualtys on the enemy. One person maybe might cause 25-30 casualtys out of a possible 40. Some of these shots will be rushed. If you work in pairs your rate could go up to 35, and also that will equal about 70 casualtys compaired to sniping on your own when you cause only 25-30.
If your near another sniper, move. Dont waste time typing to get that person to move, 'cos your just giving the enemy a chance to shoot you.
Problems with pair sniping is tracers will come quite often. After a few shots move!
Try and re-spawn snipe. You'll get more people. That doesnt mean ignore tracers from other snipers if you see them.
Try to go for the guys STANDING STILL. I cant emphisise this enough. When your sniping for the first time its easier to snipe people standing still. You stand less chance of missing, and you wont use so much ammo up.
To be a good sniper you must learn to hide well.
In DF1 and 2 night missions get a LAR-V re-breather because it is all black and it does not glow in the dark like your regular uniform.
Never expose your body if you can help it, just have your gun and head peaking over the cover because your head is a harder target than your body is.
Always look for an easy target like another sniper that is lying down or a person below that is just standing still or wait for a few people to go into an armory and if you have it, pull out your AT-4/LAW and blow them all away at once.
After shooting once or a few shots in succession you should find a new spot.
Crawl up slowly to your spot and wait before you shoot just in case someone saw you but is not sure that you are a sniper, if you shoot you seal your fate.
Shoot as little as possible in accomplishing any goal. Every shot gives the enemy the opportunity to detect a sniper's position, so ideally snipers need to make single shot kills.
Don't fire at enemies dancing around like crazy.
Always snipe on the side of the mound or mountain because people's eyes naturally are attracted to peaks. Also most snipers like to look at the tops of hills for other snipers because its a compon place for snipers to hide at.
Don't snipe from houses or use trees or cacti for cover. People scanning the terrain for snipers tend to look for things sticking out like cacti or trees.
It is wise to either place two claymores behind you (facing away from you) or to lay on two satchels. This "revenge" tactic works because if you use the claymores, you will get the guy for even thinking of killing you; or if you use the satchels, you can ignite them immediately after you are killed, respawn and kill your killer.
