The
Library acts as the pivot of the three Bureaus
of the Institute. Housing more than 5,000 books
in five languages (English, Arabic, Persian,
Filipino, and Malay/Indonesian),
500 issues of periodicals (journals, magazines,
newspapers, etc.), 200 articles, 1,000
electronic books, documents and articles, CD/DVD
programs, and audio-video tapes on various
subjects, this library is no doubt a
comprehensive private one in the region.
On April 24, 2005,
SMERI acquires five (5) powerful database
programs designed to catalog and manage various
library items such as books, periodicals
(magazines, journals, newsmagazines,
newsletters, and newspapers), audio-video items,
software programs, and stamps. These library
programs are: BookCAT, CATraxx, CATVids, SoftCAT
Plus, and StampCAT. For more information on the
salient features of each of the programs, visit:
www.fnprg.com.

Open to the public, the
library is ready to serve all readers, students, teachers, researchers,
and scholars. It is open from Monday to Thursday (8:00 - 11:30 am / 1:00
- 4:50 pm). It is open on national and religious holidays (except on
Islamic festivals).
