SMERI
acquires a hundred new book titles

As the 18th
Tehran International Book Fair (May 4-14, 2005)
formally
ends on May 14, 2005, SMERI acquires over a
hundred more book titles
and software programs. Among these newly
acquired titles are the
complete publications of the London-based
Islamic College for Advanced Studies (ICAS) at
the top of which is The Qur'an with a
phrase-by-phrase translation by Sayyid 'Ali Quli
Qara'i, the veteran translator
of Islamic classics based in Qum, Iran. Other

SMERI acquires five (5) powerful database
programs designed to catalog and manage
various library items such as books, periodicals
(magazines, journals, newsmagazines,
newsletters, and newspapers), audio-video items,
software programs, and stamps. These library
programs are: BookCAT, CATraxx, CATVids, SoftCAT
