6 pieces of bread ends taken from the freezer or 6 pieces of bread (any kind) 3 tbl. butter or margarine 1 tsp. minced garlic 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning 1/8 tsp. Garlic salt 1 tsp. processed parmesan cheese Thaw out the bread if you are using bread ends. In a small bowl combine butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and parmesan cheese. Stir this until it is all mixed together. Spread bread out and butter both sides. Cut the bread into squares and place on a baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or less, remove croutons and flip over to brown the other side, bake again. These croutons store very well in a tupperware container. You can do this whenever you have a lot of bread ends gathering in your freezer. |
