What you can do now You ski everywhere! You are having a blast all over the mountain.
You also know that there are some areas that might still be holding you
back. You’d like to be able to move quicker for the trees and steeper slopes.
You’d also like to be smoother, more fluid and efficient, less tired after
those difficult bump, steeps or tree runs.
You’ve long since discovered that one of the greatest pleasures of
skiing is you can always improve. What you are ready to learn now You are right up there working of the very fine tuning that we ourselves as instructors work on improving all the time. One that comes to mind is the fine art of pressure control. A second and seemingly never ending area for improvement are the turn transitions and this relates directly to Pressure control. Another is fine tuning that pole plant. Is it getting in your way or really helping you on those steeps? Challenging snow conditions are something you probably seek out, but this is another area where you'd like to be consistently better. Deep, snow, crud, and everybody's favorite, wind packed powder or as they call it in Spanish, Carton. That's because it's like skiing on a breakable layer of cardboard. Where you are ready to ski now In Snowmass, you are exploring all parts of the double blacks and you might like to head over to Aspen Highlands for even more variety of challenging terrain. How to get there next Improving Posture is a key thing at any level
