You are skiing all greens and blues and are ready to try an easy groomed black. You might even want to try some easy moguls. If you haven’t already been introduced to pole planting, now might be a good time.

What you are ready to learn now

You are ready to learn how to control your edges for better control on the steeps. You can always learn more about steering your legs and feet to better direct your path. You are ready to learn how to read the terrain of bumps and which path is easiest.  You are ready to learn how to use flexion and extension to control how pressure over uneven terrain.

Where you are ready to ski now

You are to learn try that first black under the right conditions.

At Las Leñas, these trails are actually marked red.  The rating system goes, green, blue, red, then black. Red is like black in North America, and black is like double black. 

At Snowmass, you are ready to try either the Edge or Slot or something similar when groomed.
