Sonic and Tails stand in the Southern Tundra facing a giant mountain with a castle built in its side. Thanks to a device created by Uncle Chuck that tracks ionic residue leftover from used magic, Sonic is certain they have finally found Ixis Naugus. Tails starts to lose faith and holds the drained power ring that powered the biplane. Sonic encourages Tails and explains that Ixis will use their fears to try and defeat them. As someone watches Sonic and Tails, Sonic promises that they will defeat Ixis and return home safely.

Elsewhere, a satellite re-activates and finds a target. A familiar-looking metallic hand pushes a button.

Sonic uses the device and is positive that Ixis is close by. Suddenly, a hand emerges from the ground and pushes Sonic off a small ledge. Tails is smacked into the mountain but recovers in time to ask what had happened. Sonic realizes that it is Ixis, who promptly emerges. Ixis boasts that he has the advantage since Sonic and Tails are now trapped away from their home without the Sword of Acorns (which was used to defeat Ixis in the Return of the King special). Sonic throws a snowball at Ixis. Once Ixis recovers, he shoots a beam from his hand at Sonic. Sonic quickly dodges the blast and charges toward Ixis. Ixis disappears, and Sonic is shocked as he grabs onto a rock to keep from falling down the mountain. He thinks aloud that he passed through Ixis as if Ixis was made out of snow. Ixis explains that he can change his body to imitate the four elements (earth, wind, fire, and water), which is how he previously created turbulence to slow down Sonic and Tails (see Sonic the Hedgehog #61). Tails flies to help Sonic but is stopped by something. Sonic flips himself over the ledge and sees a half-metallic creature spewing flame from its hand at an ice-encased Tails. Sonic panics and attacks the creature as Ixis says he knows that the Abominable Snow-bot will win. Suddenly, an avalanche begins and covers everyone in snow. The Abominable Snow-bot appears from the snow he melted with Sonic and Tails in on arm. The creature flies toward the castle and lands at the door.

The "Find Your Name In Print Page" - 1/2 page

The Abominable Snow-bot walks into the castle, which is actually a laboratory, and lays Sonic and Tails down in front of an Overlander. The man speaks, questioning who Eddy has brought to him. He knows for a fact that they did not attack his home. Sonic begins to stir, jumps to life, and tells the man and creature to stay away. The Overlander is shocked and thinks he sees Jules the Hedgehog. Sonic asks who the man is, and Eddy's arm begins to spew fire. Ixis Naugus appears and says that the Overlander is Nate Morgan, the essential factor for Ixis to conquer Mobius.

Part 4

Sally makes her way into the Royal Palace until she finds her father. She demands to know what is happening. King Acorn tries to calm Sally down and explains that she is doing what she needs to do. Sally asks what role Geoffrey is playing, and Geoffrey asks for permission to speak. King Acorn orders Geoffrey to report to the briefing room with his team. Again Sally demands to know what is going on, and King Acorn says that it does not concern her. He sends Sally on her way and then approaches the briefing room. Once inside, King Acorn explains that their first mission involves what happened in the past. In order to protect Queen Alicia, King Acorn ordered for Commander St. John to take both the queen and "the boy" to the Floating Island since they could not escape to Knothole. Once they reached the Floating Island, Overlanders attacked. Although King Acorn sent a search team, Queen Alicia could not be found. King Acorn orders for Geoffrey and his team to go to the Floating Island and find the queen.

(To be continued in Knuckles the Echidna #19).

Sonic-Grams highlights:
~ Rob O' the Hedge and Sonic are not related, but Rob is related to Amy Rose
~ The American story for the origin of Robotnik was adapted into the early issues of the comic. When DiC created a Sonic series with action and adventure, they created a new origin for Robotnik, Sonic, and friends. The cartoon defined the freedom fighters and the comic later mixed in the new cartoon concepts with the old comic ones
