summer vacation
28 july-18 august, 2000
this summer, while japan was sweltering, morgan and i headed off to thailand, malaysia and singapore.  when planning the trip initially, we told the travel agent we had x-amount of money- where could we go?  she said bangkok was all that was available for cheapskates like us, so off we went.  once there, we had to decide where to go.  cambodia sounded great, but would have been a nightmare to get to over land.  we decided malaysia sounded good, then added singapore once we got going.  we spent a few days in the old capital of thailand, then went south to the malay penninusula.  we moved around quite a bit, perhaps a bit too much, but we did get to see a lot.  i really enjoyed it.  great food, low costs, and friendly people- what more could you want?!
