Turtle Pond

Located at Mid-Park, right at the edge of the Great Lawn, this 2 acres pond is also situated at the foot of the Belvedere Castle. The grassy banks, the willows bent over the water make it the most wonderful place to visit.

Recently fishing is not allowed in the Pond. Anglers are recommended to visit the Harlem Meer at 110th Street. Actually, The Lake is only a stone throw away from the pond.

Not much turtles can be seen in the pond, only the red-eared sliders are occasionally seen peeping their head on the surface of the water to have a deep breath and soon vanish into the dark green water searching for food.
