The Reservoir (Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir)

The Reservoir is named after the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, which is no longer the water supply to the city. The jogging track around the reservoir is 1.6 miles and attracts thousands of runners there everyday. The 110 acres reservoir is not opened to public and is fenced all around leaving it a paradise for waterfowls. It's the main water supply to the other Lake and Ponds in the park. During summer time, the great surface area will loss tremendous among of water due to evaporation, water will pump from the reservoir to the lake to compensate the water lost.

Water from the reservoir pump into The Lake through the hydrant. It also helps to cool down the water temperature to retard the growth of algae which will kill the fish when overgrown.
