| The Night fighter Squadron. Initially formed in July of 1937, as an independent patrol of night fighters within 1st Squadron of Chatos, under the command of Anatoli Serov, alias "Carlos Castej�n". Becomes an independent squadron in April of 1938. It's first Spanish commander was Jose Falc� Sanmart�n who takes the control in November of 1938. This squadron had only I-15 fighters at first. Later it has diverse material, with some I-16, Koolhoven FK-51, Grumman Delfin and a Dewoitine D-510 (acquired from the 1st Squadron of Grupo 71). |
