Bad grades. They are the source of all problems, in addition, an athlete's worst nightmare. They alone are the reason for numerous defeats due to a star player's unsatisfactory grade. If coaches are given the power to choose the players he'll need and have, no matter what academic standing, I think there would be more jocks out there ready to terrorize their foes with the raw power of brawn. No brains required, but an added bonus.
Now, back to our school. Philippine Science High School has been trying to get into the Iloilo City Sports Council Meet. Unfortunately, things do not always turn up the way you want it to be. You can pretty much guess what stopped Pisay's plans.
But is it Fate's fault, or the students? Most traumatized jocks would speak of the Fate's and its magical way of making your life miserable. However, most adults would agree to the latter. And they speak the truth. The grade-sports system of punishment was made to do just that. To serve as a form of punishment to the athletes involved for not trying harder to get better grades.
So, what is my pointless writing for? This piece was meant to educate the ignorant why bad grades can be bad for your game. As well as your home life, your love life, and any other thing I can think of.
So as I was saying, Bad grades can kill you. And that's all you need to know while your still under the command of a teacher. So try to improve them, won't you?
