This book gives some background on Mark-Paul Gosselaar, including how his parents met and some interesting interviews with his mother and others.   It doesn't really get in-depth into Mark-Paul's life, but it does tell about some of his previous work, as well as the early history of Saved by the Bell.  While not too deep, it does have some interesting insights on what it might have been like for Mark-Paul in those early years and a little of what others said about him.

One chapter gives an example of what a week was like for Mark-Paul during the filming of the show.  A little bit of the information about the show is the same as what is in the Behind the Scenes book, but there's enough new and different information in this book to make it worthwhile reading if you are a fan of the show or a fan of Mark-Paul and would like to know a little bit about what it was like to work on the show as a teenager.

The last chapter is mostly an interview with Mark-Paul.  It may not be entirely accurate, but it's interesting to read what he thought back when he was about 16 or 17--or at least what the author thought he thought.  :-)

The pictures in the book are great, though I've seen most of them before.  If you are a fan of Mark-Paul, this book is worth reading to find out a little more about his life at the time the show was being filmed.  This book was written when he was so young and I'm sure he's grown and changed by now and the lists of his favorite things have mostly likely changed, but it still makes interesting reading if you are a fan.
