Welcome To
Sarah and Jim's Love Project
Most recent update 8/28/2009
Sadly, Yahoo Geocities is shutting down everyones websites on Oct. 26th, 2009. You may have noticed we haven't updated in a while and that is why. It just dosen't seem worth it to spend the time to add content if it is only going to be erased. We have decided to find some sort of means of keeping you all updated on our current events like a blog or somthing, not facebook or myspace so don't even suggest it, and we will let everyone know about that when it happens. Meanwhile in order to give you all a recap of what we have been up to for the last couple of years (which is what this webpage was intended to do) we are currently going through our 4000+ photos and creating slideshows which we will post on YouTube. Also, we hope to be able to make a DVD with said slideshows for those of you who don't have internet access (upon request). All of this is in the works. We have posted a couple of videos on our YouTube page already, http://www.youtube.com/sarahjimloveproject and we will keep posting them as they are ready. So that's the deal, we hope you enjoyed our webpage while it lasted and we hope you will enjoy the slideshows on our YouTube page.
This webpage is being built to share our experiences and some of our accomplishments. Sarah and I have always both felt that we would like to live for ourselves and the planet, not for any faceless corporation.  While we considered how to do this, we decided we would need to learn a lot about growing, wild harvesting, and preserving our own food; animals, alternative power, alternative building techniques, and lots more.
We have now worked on one homestead and two farms and are well into our process of learning. We have made friends across the country, and we are going to keep up our momentum because we have proven to ourselves that you can do anything, you just have set your mind to it.
On the 10th of August we arrived at Potter's Farm as the new caretakers and we are finding our niche in this beautiful area of northern Wisconson. Currently we are focusing on maintaining our very own garden, while hoping to find somewhere to volunteer with goats and/or horses.
For those of you that are intrested in our projects and adventures, our plans and goals...  we have so much to show you!  Keep checking back too - we'll always be adding more!
We're delighted to have you check out our Garden Photos page to see the progress of our garden expansion!

Look! It's our very first Morel ever! This one is a Black Morel, the first of the Morels to fruit in the spring. Hopefully we will have other types in the next few weeks!
NOTE: In the future, if your trying to view our webpage and the message "Sorry, Service Temporarily Unavailable" comes up, that means we have reached our data transfer limit of 4.2MB/hr.  Don't worry, it will reset in about an hour, and then you will be able to bask in Sarah and Jim's Love Project bliss. So, if this happens to you, please be patient.
