On Sunday the 18th of November 2007, I asked Sarah to be my wife and she said yes!  I am the happiest and luckiest person alive to have Sarah as my best friend, and wife forever. I love you Sarah!

For all of you who are curious about when our wedding will be, we tried planning for spring this year, but since we have been semi-nomadic, we have been distracted with other projects, and so we decided to plan for next spring. Don't worry, we will not forget to send out invitations to everyone as soon as we decide the exact date.
2009:
5/13: The other day we got a brand new hand made ceramic pie plate. We visited Eckel's Pottery looking for one. We didn't exactly like what they had so we told the person there (Dedee) exactly what we wanted and what color glazes we liked. She brought us in back to show us unglazed pie plates and there were a few shapes we really liked so she told us she would do a couple up with the colors we liked if we could come back in about two weeks. Here is the one we picked (above). It's beautiful, and it's deeper than the rest so we can fill it full of delicious foods!
We have found a bunch more black morels since the previous picture was taken. They have been delicious!
We got our sweet potato plants from Johnny's yesterday. If the weather looks good enough we will plant them late this afternoon. I'm off now to seed a few delicious vegetables outside. It really is amazing that so much can fit in such tiny a package as a seed.
5/6: It is offically mushroom season. We are very excited! we have been going on mushroom hunts everyday for a month now and it has finally paid off with a bountyfull of Black Morels, 21 below, 26 total found, that's about a pound or more! Our garden is doing great. The spinach we seeded outside sprouted today. In the last few days we have seeded more outside and watched what has been seeded come up. It feels like our garden is just starting to burst with green, and were bursting in antisipation of what's to come.
4/25: Today we paid our fee to have a booth at the Ashland, Wisconsin Farmers Market! The market will be every Saturday starting on June 13th and going through the beginning of October. We will be selling extra produce from our garden, homemade Mock Duck (Seitan), Foccacia, Vegetable Tortillas, Sarah's drawings, paintings, cards and sewn goods. Also today, we transplanted three onions out into the garden to see how they do. If they are doing well in three days, then we will put more out. These are the very first transplants put in the garden, we're rooting for ya little onions!
4/24: Today we have basically finished the fence around our garden with just a few finishing touches left.  It is (we hope) deer/cat/rabbit proof!  We are very proud of this project and will talk more about it in our garden pictures section.  Also today we prepped and expanded a couple beds in the back garden, we planted spinach there and in the front garden we planted turnips, kale, mustard greens mix, and raddishes.  These are the very first seeds we have direct seeded outside this year.
4/20: We planted a new round of plants started indoors. This time we planted tomatoes, celery, basil, more eggplant and dill, also we are soaking loofah seeds in a towel to germinate them before putting them in soil.
4/16: Our pepper seedlings are doing exceptionally well, and most of our onions have come up, we have about 6 artichoke seedlings (which were the hardest to germinate). Everything else did well except for the dill and rosemary, which we will plant more of in our next round of plantings.
3/30: We planted our first round of plants started indoors for our garden, almost 500 seeds, for germination. Artichoke, broccoli, dill, eggplant, onions, and peppers. We will plant new rounds every week until transplanting and direct seeding outside.
