Wreck Diving - A Japanese Patrol Boat is reported by the locals to have been sunken just North of Rumah Yamin during WW2. As recently as 15 years ago, some local fishermen had been sighted lobster hunting in the wreck.

Durian Hunting - a nearby gong is rumored to have the best durians around the region.

Kenyir Dam - Just 1 hour's drive westward into the hills. A lovely serene dam and wildlife reserve.

Wayang Kulit - Once a year the local Taikongs sponsor such events along the beaches.

Clean the beach: Do some research on the marine biology of sea borne pollution and determine whether most (80 per cent by weight) of the flotsam and jetsam (plastic and laminated packaging) comes from Thai boats. If this is so, it could be extended that there are many, many more Thai boats fishing in Malaysian waters than is generally known.
