Final Fantasy IX: Characters


Name: Zidane Tribal
Weapon: Daggers
"You don't need a reason to help people.."

Zidane takes the role of the main character throughout the game of Final Fantasy IX, he is a master thief, being in member in a group from the town of Linblum known as Tantalus, led by their boss, Baku. Zidane is a pretty outgoing teenager, full of jokes and much pervertedness. He tends to have a habit for asking all sorts of different girls on dates, though, his past is but a blur to him.

Name: Princess Garnet Til Alexandros 17th/Dagger
Weapon: Rods/Rackets
"Someday I will be queen, but I will always be myself.."

Garnet is the heir to the queen's throne of Alexandria, kind at heart, and very close minded, she attempts to run away from her home, seeking answers about her past, along with why her mothers personality took a sudden change for the worst. Garnets relationship with Zidane is a very interesting through the story, though she is a bit unsure of herself, always throwing her life into different directions.

Name: Vivi Ornitier
Weapon: Staffs
"How do you prove that you exist? Maybe we don't exist.."

Vivi, a black mage without a past, is a very unsocial individual, he tends to always rely on others, though what he truely wishes to find is the lost memory of his past.. Is there others like him? Or perhaps he was created. Vivi gains Steiner's full trust from his magic skills, the two making quite a team.

Name: Adelbert Steiner
Weapon: Heavy Swords
"Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude..?"

Steiner is the leader of the grand Knights of Pluto; Guardians of Alexandria and protecter of the Princess. Steiner is a bit hot headed, always following orders, though deep within the inner halls of his mind he seeks something more than just servitude. He has a strong sense of justice, always throwing his actions in the path of good, vanquishing all that is evil.

Name: Amarant Coral
Weapon: Claws
"The only dependable thing about the future is uncertainty.."

Amarant is a lone wolf, working alone is his trademark when it comes to accomplishing a task, though he learns that a friends help is something to cherish for the better. Amarant was hired as a mercenary in the beginning by Queen Brahne, the queen expecting him to fight as dirty as possible to bring brack Princess Garnet.. Though he tends to balance his battless out for fairity.

Name: Freya Crescent
Weapon: Spears/Lances
"To be forgotten is worse than death.."

Freya is a Dragon Knight of Burmecia, bound to justice and traveling the world to improve her sense of strength. In her past, she lost the one man she loved, Sir Fratley, who decided to journy into the mist of the world, never to return. Freya is pretty quiet for the most part, her wise traits sometimes getting to her.

Name: Eiko Carol
Weapon: Flutes
"I don't wanna be alone anymore.."

Eiko is the only child living in Madine Sari, her pet moogles being her only friends, and Mog, the smallest one of them all being her best friend. Eiko tends to have a crush on Zidane, always trying to impress in one way or the other, though her one fear is being alone.

Name: Quina Quen
Weapon: Forks
"I do what I want! You have problem?"

Quina has to probly be the goofiest character within the history of Final Fantasy. It is uncertain if Quina is a male or a female, though one thing is for sure, and that is her hunger. Quina travels the world with Zidane mainly for one purpose.. And that is to taste it, and examine the other foods amist the world of Gaia.
