Name: Squall Leonheart
Age: 17

Weapon: Gunblade

Squall is the leading character of Final Fantasy VIII and he uses a fantastic weapon introduced only in this game called the gunblade. His main rival through the game would be none other than Seifer, the cold ruthless sorceress's knight. Squall is a cold, silent person who lives within the being of his own mind, though.. his personality changes as your adventure slowly unfolds, and he discovers the missing pieces of his past.

Name: Seifer Almasy
Age: 18
Height: 6'2
Weapon: Gunblade

Seifer is the leader of the Disciplinary Committee in Final Fantasy VIII, and also the man that put the scar into Squall's face. In the beginning, he seems to be nothing more than just a thug that wants nothing more than to advance his way up the SeeD ladder, and become number one, but through the game he 'ventures on and becomes Squall's enemy, and Sorceress Edea's knight in an ivory trenchcoat. Seifer is a ruthless, cold hearted individual who has a problem with authority and containment, bringing us to the main point that he hates working with others.

Name: Rinoa Heartily
Age: 18
Height: 5'3
Weapon: Pinwheel

Rinoa is not found until a few hours later in the game, though Squall does meet her at the SeeD dance in the garden. She is the leader of a rebel group called the Forest Owls in the small town of Timber; This is where her and Squall meet for the second time to fully make aquaintence. Rinoa is a pretty caring person, lovable at that, and develops an odd, but interesting relationship with Squall as they advance through the game.

Name: Quistis Trepe
Age: 18
Height: 5'6
Weapon: Chain Whip

Quistis is available as your second party character from the very beginning. She is a teacher at the school. Trying her best to understand her students, and for some reason most interested in Squall. Conflicted between her feelings for him, and her duty to teach, Quistis' Blue Magic is good for any situation later on in the game. Very reliable person, and it's really fun to kill enemies with the lash of a whip.

Name: Zell Dincht
Age: 17
Height: 5'5
Weapon: Fists

Zell shows up very early in the game as a playable character. On your first mission, where they gauge you to be a SeeD, they put you in the same team as Zell. Hyperactive and sensitive, Zell is overall offensive. Faster than most characters, and with much better accuracy, he's easy to get used to. His Limit Breaks are impressive at least. Loyal to his friends and always there in a time of need, he's not one at making big decisions.

Name: Selphie Tilmitt
Age: 17
Height: 5'1
Weapon: Nunchaku

Becoming available after Seifer leads your party for a Lone Wolf mission, Selhpie is ready and eager to please. Her offense could use a little improvement, but she's versatile and quick. Spunky by nature, her fighting style is unique in the game. Selphie remains loyal and often confused, but she's always ready to lend a hand to any who ask.

Name: Irvine Kinneas
Age: 17
Height: 6'0
Weapon: Shotgun

Irvine is originally a sharpshooter from Galbadia Garden, who was hired by Balamb to assassinate the sorceress. Though he is a sharpshooter, he finds himself a ladies man, especially for Selphie. Though, its often hard for him to do his job due to the fact that he is pretty bad when hes under pressure. A great member for your team though none the less.

Name: Sorceress Edea
Age: Unknown
Height: 5'6
Weapon: Magic

The Source of all the trouble in the game, Sorceress Edea means to Take control of the government. More powerful than anything anybody can remember, this woman seems invincible. Beautiful as she is loathsome, her ultimate goals are unfathomable. Powerful magics make her a very scary foe, she's a tough customer to say the least.

Name: Laguna Loire
Age: 27
Height: 5'9
Weapon: Machine Gun

Laguna is one of the three characters from the mysterious dream events that you fall into through the game. Each dream seems to be an event that had taken place within the past, revealing more and more of the storyline as you venture on. He pretty tense when it comes to woman, and he tends to always stick around with his two best friends, Kiros, and Ward.
