Location: Deep Sea Research Facility.

You find Bahamut in the Deep Sea Research Facility, which is a hidden island on your map. Use the Ragnarok to find it and enter it. If Zell is in your party, he should give you a background on the place. Now enter, and move ONLY when the blue light is off. If the light detects you, you will enter a battle with a Ruby Dragon. Now approach the blue light and speak to it. Select "We do not wish to fight" and you will enter a fight with a Ruby Dragon. Ruby Dragon is a very difficult monster to defeat, but can be easily defeat if you have the Lionheart, and a nice combatibility rate with Diablos and Doomtrain if you have them. Demi is also a very nice magic to have for this battle.

After defeating it, you will be asked another question. Choose "Never" and fight the next Ruby Dragon. Once it is defeated, you will have more options to choose from. This option is hidden from you, so go down to the third option and click it. You will now battle Bahamut, one of the most cherished summons in the world of Final Fantasy.
