Mary Beth Evans
Newsletter #5

Spring/Summer 1999

Hello and welcome to our fifth edition of Evans News. We are proud to say that there are over eighty people on our mailing list and by the next edition I hope to be able to tell you there are over one hundred.

I would like to start off by thanking you all for your patience concerning Mary Beth's storyline. I know that you feel that you aren't seeing her near as much as you would like to. Just so you know, you are not aloneMary Beth wishes you were able to see her more as well. Mary Beth would like to be working more and involved in a more in depth storyline. The good news is that you will be seeing Mary Beth at the Nurses Ball this year. Look for her to be a part of the entertainment. Also, I have received a few emails concerning Mary Beth's contract status and just to put you at ease, Mary Beth's contract is not up for renewal until next year.

Since she has not been working a lot lately, Mary Beth has been keeping busy with other things. One major project that has kept her busy is the building of her new house. Her new house is a southern style house. She has built it on the same property that her old home was on. Her architect is from New Orleans to make sure that she gets all that southern elegance. Her new house has a giant front and back porch and an upstairs front porch. There is a lot of outdoor living. There is also a room that has a wall that slides open to become part of the back porch. It is kind of an indoor/outdoor room. I'm sure it will come in handy with Mary Beth's love of entertaining. Of course, Mary Beth is always busy with her gardening. As most of you know, Mary Beth is an avid gardener. Her favorite type of garden to plant is an English Country Garden. Her garden is usually full of delphiniums, heliotrope, wisteria, roses, etc. This year her garden is pretty much in a shambles due to all of the construction. Mary Beth has also been on a few trips since our last newsletter. She has been to Florida, Massachusetts, New York City and Las Vegas.

Mary Beth sends her thanks along to all of you that sent her such wonderful birthday cards and wishes. She appreciates your thoughtfulness very much.

There are a couple of fundraisers in the works for the Aliso Academy. The one that is most on track right now is a Chinese auction. We are in the process of gathering items for this auction right now. How that auction will work is that chances will be purchased and a raffle like drawing will be done for each item. What is different about this is that we will provide a listing of items available and then you tell us what items you would like to try and win. For instance, you may purchase four chances and put one chance in each of four different items or just put your four chances in on one item. So far we have a script autographed by Real Andrews, autographed 8 x 10's of Julian Stone, Jonathan Jackson, Real Andrews, Vanessa Marcil and many others, a copy of a magazine featuring an article on Julian Stone which he autographed, memberships to the Vanessa Marcil fan club and the Leslie Charleson fan club, just lots of items plus we are expecting to get a lot more. I am also working on getting photos of Stephen and/or Mary Beth so that I can put together a calendar for the year 2000. As always, if you think you might have a photo that I could use, please let me know. I am also checking into prices on making other Mary Beth and/or Stephen merchandise such as t-shirts, magnets, keychains, etc. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them along.

Since it is coming up on the picnic season, we thought we would give a couple of recipes that are ideal for picnics and get togethers. Enjoy!

Pepperoni Ball
Mexican Artichoke Dip
Strawberry Beverage
Canteloupe-Honey Freeze

We will pick some questions from the ones we receive and the answers will be in the next edition of the newsletter.
