Mary Beth Evans
Newsletter # 8

July 2000

Hello and welcome to the Summer 2000 edition of Evans News newsletter.  First I would like to say that Mary Beth appreciates all of your continued support and love.

There isn't a lot of news to report on Mary Beth right now.  She is still taking classes and going on auditions.  She did film a segment for Celebrity Soap Dish which has not yet aired.  She will also be featured in segment of House Beautiful on the A&E channel but I have no airdate for you so keep checking the listings.

Mary Beth is always busy on the homefront with her family, friends and new home.  A couple of weeks ago Mary Beth and her husband hosted Danny's (Mary Beth's oldest) Little League team to a big dinner in honor of the team making it to the championship game. Unfortunately, Danny's team lost the championship game.  Mary Beth also kept busy when two of her nephews went to visit her for several days.  From what I have heard everyone had a great time.  Next came the 4th of July.  Mary Beth and her husband Michael always have their family and friends over for a barbecue and this year was no exception.  This year it was a chicken barbecue.  Barbecuing seems to be Mary Beth's hobby this summer. (If you have any great barbecue recipes you would like to share with Mary Beth, please email them to me at EVANSNEWS).  Mary Beth and her children have just left for a two-three week vacation on the East Coast.  They will be visiting family, friends and vacationing.

This month's recipes will feature a few summer cooler recipes as well as Mary Beth's barbecue secret.

Mary Beth's Barbecue Secret
Spray the item you are barbecuing with a little olive oil spray.  Add freshly ground peppercorns, freshly ground sea salt and freshly ground onion flakes.  This gives the items a great flavor without being overpowering.  This can be used on vegetables, beef, chicken or fish.

Punch recipe from Cindy S.

Turon De Chocolate from Liz K.

Kool-Aid Punch from Franni J.

Thank you to everyone who sent in a contribution to purchase for books for the Aliso Academy in memory of Mary Beth's stepmother who passed away in May.  If you would still like to contribute, please contact me at EvansNews.

As always, please let us know what you would be interested in seeing in the newsletter.  I will keep you updated on any other "Mary Beth news" as it become available.  From Mary Beth, Debbie and myself, have a safe and fun summer.

Franni
