Hello and welcome to Newsletter #2. We now have over sixty people on our mailing list so thank you to everyone that has subscribed. If you know of anyone else interested in receiving the newsletter, please have them contact us.

First let me tell you about a couple of appearances that Mary Beth will be making this summer. She will be attending the GH Luncheon on July 19th. It is my understanding that the luncheon is sold out. Mary Beth will also be attending (for a limited time) �A Celebration of Friendship� commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Lakeside Association. Also attending this function (for a limited time as well) will be Stephen Nichols, Debbie Evans and Dianne DePaul(Mary Beth�s Mom). This will be held on July 19th beginning at 4:30 PM at the Sportsmen�s Lodge in Studio City, California. There are some tickets available for this event. Prices are $30 current members, $35 alumni members, and $40 general public. Another wonderful thing about this event is that its proceeds benefit the Aliso Academy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and $5.00 of each ticket sold will go to the Aliso as well. There will be door prizes, raffles, photos, video and deli dinner buffet. If you are interested in further information you can contact Linda Pidutti at [email protected]

I would like to tell you also that the rumors that Mary Beth has either left or been let go from General Hospital are completely untrue. Mary Beth is still under contract with General Hospital.

Next, I thought it would be fun to include a few �Did you know� tidbits about Mary Beth in this issue. I hope you enjoy them. If you did enjoy them, let me know and maybe it can become a regular feature.

Did you know that ............

� Mary Beth�s best friend (since she was 12) Carrie is married to General Hospital music director Marty Davich

� October 6th is a very busy day for the Evans family. Mary Beth�s son Danny, her sister Debbie, and her sister-in-law Pilar all share that birthday.

� Mary Beth�s favorite restaurant is Bistro Gardens

� Mary Beth wrote a column for the Australian soap magazine TV Soap

� Mary Beth was an avid surfer at one time

� Mary Beth�s husband Michael proposed to her in restaurant dressed as a knight in shining armor

� Stephen Kay (Reginald) and Mary Beth are related. Actually Stephen is the first cousin of Mary Beth�s husband Michael

� Mary Beth�s favorite tree is the crepe myrtle

� Mary Beth�s favorite flowers are English garden types

Another thing that I would like to introduce in this newsletter is our recipe section. I will try and have a recipe from Mary Beth in each newsletter. This first recipe comes right in time for the summer picnic season, it is for the Evans Family Potato Salad.


Also, another thing I would like to feature in the newsletter is interviews with some of Mary Beth�s family members and friends. Our first interview will be with Mary Beth�s sister Debbie.
