Links
During the 2+ years of owning my current computer, I have spent numerous hours (TOO numerous) surfing the web for various reasons.   Here are some of my favorite links on the net.
For those who occasionally enjoy losing money on the lottery (don't feel embarassed, sometimes I do too), check out the Georgia Lottery on www.galottery.com.  If you are interested in lottery results from other parts of the U.S., go to www.lotteryusa.com.
To find out the current weather conditions in your area, or weather conditions if you are travelling, www.weather.com can help you out.
You think Big Brother isn't watching us?   Go to Terraserver and see the satellite images available several years ago (and try not to think about the technology available to the government now!).    You'll find them at www.terraserver.microsoft.com.
Check out your favorite website after it has been "filtered" through The Dialectizer.  You'll laugh your butt off!   Go to www.rinkworks.com/dialect/.
If you read through other parts of my website, you learned that I really like music and enjoy finding new music at the MP3.com website.  But, I'll repeat it here anyway - get yourself an mp3 player and check out the thousands of music files at www.mp3.com.
For those of you who have a twisted sense of humor (most of the best people do!),  then Joe Cartoon is THE man for you.  ALL sorts of bizarre and demented animations.   His stuff can be found at www.joecartoon.com.   He also has some short animations at www.atomfilms.com.
Do you have a music or reading addiction that needs a "fix"?   Half.com has lots of used CDs and books at good reduced prices.   Check them out at www.half.com.
If you are partial to a NEW book or CD, then there are several websites you can reference:
www.cdnow.com   (CDNow)
www.bn.com (Barnes & Noble)
www.borders.com   (Borders.com)
www.amazon.com   (Amazon.com)
If you're a trivia buff, play Jeopardy online.   Go to www.jeopardy.com and register to play!
For anything (just about) concerning your computer (product reviews, downloadable programs, etc.) CNET is the place to go.    Their address is www.cnet.com.
For the person who loves to cook and eat:
www.foodtv.com (Associated with the Food Television cable channel)
www.epicurious.com
Do you enjoy reading clips and stories about incredibly stupid folks who improved the gene pool of mankind by removing themselves from it?  Check out The Darwin Awards at www.darwinawards.com   (where else would you find it??)
Search engines abound on the internet.  Several favorites would be:
www.askjeeves.com
www.metacrawler.com
www.dogpile.com
www.webring.com
Here are some links to friends and family on the net.
My sister, Janice has a cool website!    Janice's homepage!
Bill Boothe (my cousin) has a great website of photos and text discussing habitats of Florida, environmental concerns of Florida, and his business called Natural Encounters.  Go to Bill's

Louis and Patsy (friends in Valdosta) have a cool website too!   Louis & Patsy!
Bodhi (my pug "nephew") even has a website.    Bodhi!
Do you have something laying around the house that you would like to sell?  Register on eBay and auction it!  Or, if you want to accumulate more stuff, go to their website to find thousands of items to bid on.   They are www.ebay.com
Are you designing your own website?  There are plenty of sites on the Internet that have buttons, banners, gifs, etc that you can use.  Here are a few.
