| This page is devoted to the animals "in my life". Be sure and notice the appropriate background - a design from M.C. Escher called "Reptiles". Granted, I don't have any snakes, alligators, lizards or other reptiles (nor does anyone else in my family), but my thinking was that "an animal is an animal". | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| First of all, I am "owned" by a cat named Liz (short for Dizzy Miss Lizzy). I do not try to delude myself into thinking that I own a cat. I am a mere human, while she is of the FAR superior feline persuasion. My purpose in life is to attend to her needs and wants, and to give her NO static about doing so. She's been with me for quite some time (about 14 years), so we have pretty much gotten used to each other's idiosyncrasies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| All of my siblings have pets as well - one dog and NUMEROUS cats. I have pictures of some of them and will post them here. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| To the left is Liz - up close and personal. She doesn't look amused that the humans are sticking some damned-fool electronic contraption in her face. She would much rather spend her time upholding the feline "persona" - meaning that she sleeps 14 -16 hours out of every 24. She does condescend occasionally to allow the humans to pet and scratch her (around her ears especially). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is Bodhi (pronounced "Bow-dee" and is short for Bodhisattva). He is a mischiveous pug that resides with my sister and brother-in-law in southern California. | Ginger and Claire are "sisters" (so to speak) to Bodhi. They weren't quite sure what to think of this rambunctious critter that came invading their peaceful world about a year ago. Bodhi being a dog, they certainly couldn't be expected to share ANY living space with him?? Ginger and Claire debated over the issue, but, in the end, they decided it was in their best interest to tolerate his presence. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| To the left is Meisha. This picture was taken on her home planet where she is known as Damienette. On Earth, she loses the reddish tint to her ears and eyes, but definitely retains the demonic "grin". Don't stare at the eyes for too long, even her picture has been known to induce a trance or two. She resides in south Georgia with my sister and niece, and her favorite saying is "I don't have headaches - I give 'em!!!" | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| OMIGOD!! It's the Christmas Tinsel Monster!! That's pretty close, actually. This is JD, affectionately known to friends and family as "THE antichrist". One of his favorite pastimes is using people's arms and legs as his personal scratching posts, but a spray bottle of holy water is usually kept closeby to keep Mr. JD at bay. He resides in Chattanooga, TN with close friends. Personally, I think he should be introduced to Meisha/Damienette - they would probably fall madly in love, or possibly shred each other. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
